The Trianon Rive Gauche is a typical 3 star Parisian hotel situated in the 6ieme area of the city close to the universities and the ancient Latin Quarter. It has 110 comfortable and traditionally decorated rooms with en suite facilities, direct dial phone and colour TV with satellite channels. There is also internet access. One of the rooms has been specially adapted as a seminar room with TV, video and fax. Downstairs, breakfast is served in the lounge bar where you can also relax with a drink.
As it is easily accessible by public transport, the Trianon Rive Gauche makes an ideal base for exploring Paris. It is on the edge of Paris's most popular park, the Jardin de Luxembourg, where you can stroll, take in the wonderful gardens and watch Parisians pay. Children can enjoy model boating, an old fashioned playground and pony rides. Just down the road is the Musee National du Moyen Age, situated in an old Roman bath house and containing a wonderful pageant of mediaeval life including a stunning tapestry. The Musee d'Orsay, which contains French impressionist paintings housed in an old railway station, and the world famous Louvre are within easy walking distance of the Trianon Rive Gauche, as is the magnificent Notre Dame Cathedral.
When you need to rest and relax, you can sit out on the café terraces of St Germaine de Pres and enjoy a drink whilst watching the world go by or indulge in retail therapy in the area's boutiques and stores. The Trianon Rive Gauche has not got its own restaurant, but this area is fmous for its cafes an bars as well as upmarket dining opportunities such as the romantic Le Petit Zinc and popular L'Epi Dupin.
