Hotel description Originally built in the early 19th century on one of the most famous wine cellars, Legrand, the Timhotel Palais Royale is a 46 roomed hotel adjoining the Galerie Vivienne. It lies in the centre of a square composed of the Palais Royale, Les Halles, the Louvre and the Bourse (stock exchange), and close to some of Paris's most famous sights. All the rooms are air conditioned, some have balconies and there are triple rooms available.
The Timhotel Palais Royale has a 20 square metre meeting room capable of holding up to 10 delegates with fax, WiFi and LCD and slide projector. There is 24 hour reception, a lounge and pets are welcome.
The Timhotel Palais Royale lies in the 2ieme district of Paris which is primarily a business area. However from here you are only 20 minutes from Notre Dame Cathedral on the River Seine and close to the wonderful Louvre art gallery and the Arts and Crafts museum, Europe's oldest museum of science and technology.
For theatre gœrs there is the Comedie Francaises and the Paris Opera. One of the must see places that are within easy reach of the Timhotel Palais Royale is the Pompidou Centre. Opened in 1977, it houses a magnificent modern art collection and the building itself is a triumph of modern architecture with colour coded exterior walls to indicate the various functions.
There is a fantastic roof terrace and Georges restaurant has wonderful panoramic views. In the basement and on the1st floor there are cinemas and other entertainment venues.
