Hotel description Built in 1850 and completely refurbished in 2005, the Timhotel Le Louvre is a friendly, 56 roomed, 2 star hotel situated in the historic heart of Paris where the French Revolution was centred. It is a stone's throw from the Louvre Museum which was built as a palace in 1204 and now houses one of the world's greatest art collections including the world famous Mona Lisa.
More recently it is famed as the starting place for the da Vinci Code. The Timhotel Le Louvre is also within walking distance of the Palais Royal, the Jardin des Tuileries and the Pompidou Centre, or a longer stroll will take you to the River Seine at Pont Neuf and the Notre Dame cathedral.
Getting to and from the Timhotel Le Louvre is easy. The Metro at Palais Royal and RER at Chatelet les Halles provide two cheap and simple ways to get round Paris, and the airport shuttle bus from either Orly or Roissy Charles de Gaulle to connect to the Metro or RER. Gare St Lazare is the nearest mainline station. There is a nearby pay carpark.
The Timhotel Le Louvre offers its guests a choice of standard and superior rooms and there is one room with disabled facilities. All have direct dial telephone, satellite TV and ensuite bathrooms and the superior have air conditioning. There is an internet area in the lobby and WiFi at a small extra cost. Buffet breakfast is served and there are many wonderful restaurants and cafes in the immediate vicinity .Pets are welcome and the Timhotel Le Louvre is unusual among Paris hotels in having its own patio for guests.
