Hotel description The Regina Paris is built on the site of the Louvre Palace's royal carousel right in the centre of Paris. Its second empire facade and imperial styled domed roof were originally designed for the Paris world fair in 1900 and now provide a wonderful mixture of old and new decor and styling.
There are 90 guest rooms and 30 suites all with en suite bathrooms, air conditioning and WiFi internet access. Le Pluriel restaurant is decorated in Art Nouveau style and serves French cuisine. The English bar is a tearoom that takes you straight back to Victorian times with its deep armchairs and plush decor. Here you can get a wide assortment of afternoon teas and light French meals at lunchtime.
In fine weather there is no better place to relax and enjoy al fresco eating than the Garden Courtyard. For business or social functions the Regina Paris has two meeting rooms, one for up to 30 delegates and the other for up to 40. These salons have a separate entrance and open onto the Garden Courtyard which provides natural light. These rooms are also available for cocktail parties and banquets.
With the Regina Paris as your base you are a stone's throw away from the Place Vendome and its wonderful jewellery shops, the major shops of the Rue de Faubourg St Honore and the Opera with its department stores. The doors of the Regina Paris face the Musee de la Mode which is situated in one of the wings of the Louvre. The Orsay Museum may be visited by crossing the Pont Royal opposite the hotel, or stroll in the Tuileries Garden to the Orangerie or, on the other side, the Palais Royal and the Comedie Francaise. |
