The Observatoire Luxembourg is within easy reach of famous sights such as Notre Dame Cathedral, Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower as well as the fascinating Musée du Moyen Age (Musée de Cluny) housed in the remains of a Roman Baths, which has a collection depicting every aspect of life in the Middle Ages. The nearby Eglise St Germain dates back to 542AD and is the capital's oldest existing church.
