The 9ième district is a diverse mainly residential part of Paris, home to the Paris Opéra. The Folies Bergères is still a music hall and puts on a variety of performance such as Sam Mendes'"Cabaret". A short walk will take you to the Musée Grevin where there are over 300 waxworks on display, or to the Louvre, once the home of kings and now housing a formidable art collection. When you have had enough culture, grab your credit card and enjoy a little retail therapy Frenh style with champagne at Le Printemps and Galeries Lafayette.
