The Libertel Montmartre Duperre is a traditional, 52 roomed hotel at the base of the Butte Montmartre within an easy stroll of the Pigalle area. It is an ideal base for your visit to Paris as it is only 1.6km from the Gare du Nord, the Eurostar terminal, and within easy reach of the major sights. You have a choice of single, double or triple room all with en suite bathroom, hairdryer, direct dial phone and satellite TV. The Place du Tertre, only a step from the Libertel Montmartre Duperre, is where local artists display their work in the same way as Picasso, Dali and Renoir did. Van Gogh's house is here and the Espace Montmartre Salvador Dali is well worth a visit. The most famous landmark of the area is the Romano Byzantine basilica of Sacré Cœur which dominates the skyline. Take the 234 spiralling steps to the top of the dome and enjoy views of up to 30km over Paris and admire the massive mosaic of Christ in the chancel vault. Don't miss a dinner and cabaret at the famous Moulin Rouge nightclub.
