The Jardins de Paris Nation Bercy is well placed for visiting Paris. The nearby Gare de Lyon mainline station will whisk you directly to Eurodisney in 20 minutes and access to the rest of Paris via the Métro is just as easy. In the immediate area there are sights such as the Louvre, once the home of the kings of France and now a world famous museum, and the Gothic Notre Dame cathedral with its fabulous Rose Window, gargoyles and flying buttresses. Within walking distance you will find the turreted Chateau de Vincennes, dating from the 14th century which has been a castle, a prison and a factory and is where Mata Hari was executed. The nearby Bois de Vincennes is a great place to walk or cycle and has lakes, a zoo and, in April and May, France's largest funfair.
