The Jardins de Paris Montparnasse is located in the 14ième district of the capital, a mainly residential area with lively bars, cafes and restaurants situated around the Boulevard Montparnasse. It was renovated in 2006 and now offers 52 light and comfortable soundproofed guest rooms with en suite bathroom, direct dial phone and satellite TV. To work up your appetite climb to the 56th or 59th floor of the Tour Montparnasse and enjoy the panoramic views of the capital. The Jardin du Luxembourg is a short stroll away and contains a bandstand and 19th century carousel with wooden horses as well as an apiary and model boat sailing lake. The nearby Parc Montsouris has15 hectares of English style gardens, over 40 species of duck and 150 different types of tree as well as a lake. If you enjoy art, the Louvre is within walking distance, and the Musée d'Orsay, which contains a collection of impressionist and post impressionist work, is even closer.
