Hotel description
The Hotel des Arts Montmarte is a traditional Parisian hotel situated in the arty Montmartre area of Paris close to the Basilica of Sacré Cœur and the famous Moulin Rouge night club.
Its 50 guest rooms are all traditionally decorated and have en suite bathroom with hairdryer as well as flat screen TV with satellite channels, direct dial phone and an in room safe. There is a courtesy tray and the des Arts Montmartre has recently installed WiFi wireless internet access. Some of the rooms have a wondereful view of the Eiffel Tower. Guests can relax in the lounge and enjoy breakfast in the vaulted cellar. There is a guarded public car park nearby.
The Montmartre district of Paris has traditionally been the artistic centre of the capital. Artists still display their works at the Place de Tertre, close to the des Arts Montmartre. The twisting narrow streets of the area contain Paris's two remaining windmills and the sole vineyard as well as the legendary Au Lapin Agile nightclub.
The famous Mooulin Rouge is close by and offers a wonderful dinner and show package including champagne. There is a funicular railway to the Basilica and from its dome, 234steps up, you can see for 30km on a clear day.
The Eiffel Tower, visible from the des Arts Montmartre, also has spectacular views from all of its three levels which are well worth the climb although there are lifts if you prefer. For those who like to shop, the des Arts Montmartre is close to many of the grands magasins as well as hundreds of colourful individual shops.
