Hotel description Situated in the 9ième district of Paris, the De Castiglione is an eyecatching building with a frontage covered in rose coloured stones. Designed by Charles Sicli, who was renowned for many Parisian theatres, it opened in 1932 primarily to provide accommodation for the foreign staff of the many embassies in the area and now offers 121 guest rooms and suites over 8 floors. There are five adaptable, air conditioned meeting rooms on the first floor which all have natural daylight and can cater for from 10 to 180 delegates. In addition there is a relaxing bar which serves cocktails and the Quarante Fauborg restaurant where you can enjoy top class French cuisine. The reception desk is open 24 hours and the concierge service will be pleased to arrange tours, transport and car hire. The air conditioned guest rooms all have en suite bathroom with hairdryer, satellite TV, mini bar and in room safe. There is direct dial phone and WiFi and dial up internet access, and thirty of the rooms are interconnecting.
The de Castiglione is ideally placed if you wish to see the sights of Paris. The Louvre, Champs Elysées and Palais Garnier are all less than 1km away and the prime shopping areas of the Golden Triangle and Grands Boulevards are just as close .You can stroll to the Place de la Concorde where the guillotine did its ugly work for two years or visit the iconic Eiffel Tower for magnificent views over the "City of Lights".
