Perched on its summit is the imposing Basilica of Sacré Cœur from whose dome you can see for up to 30km. There is a funicular railway leading to it or you can enjoy a stroll through the winding streets of this bohemian villagey area of the capital. The Comfort Inn Sacré Cœur is just downhill from the Vignes de Montmartre, Paris' only surviving vineyard, and is close to the Moulin de Galette windmill, not to be confused with the Moulin Rouge itself where you can enjoy a fantastic evening of cabaret. The nearby Place du Tertre once displayed the works of Van Gogh, Picasso and Dali and is still a venue for local artists. Finish off your day with a visit to the Relas Gascon restaurant or Le Lapin Agile nightclub.
