The Caumartin Opéra is a Haussmann style, balconied building with blond wood panelling and 1930's decor situated in the 9ieme district of Paris, close to sights such as the Palais Garnier and the Champs Elysées. It has 40 air conditioned guest rooms which all have en suite bathroom, hairdryer, room safe and satellite TV. There is a mini bar and tea and coffee tray for your refreshment and a direct dial phone and WiFi internet access when you need to keep in touch. The reception at the Caumartin Opéra is available 24 hours a day and is happy to organise babysitting, laundry and ironing. Room service is also available, but not 24 hours. Pets are welcomed.
The area around the Caumartin Opéra is rich in cafes, restaurants and bars and has some of the best shopping in the world. The Grands Magasins is full of designer boutiques and top brand names and includes the Galeries Lafayette and Le Printemps where you can shop French style with champagne. The nearby Place Vendome is home to some of Paris' most exclusive Boutiques and is where Napoleon married Josephine and Chopin died. A stroll will take you to the beautiful Tuileries gardens opened in the 16th century. Walk through to the Louvre Museum where you can see a magnificent art collection including the famous Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo. At the other end of the Tuileries lies the Place de la Concorde, Paris' largest square, where the guillotine was sited in the French revolution.
