The Bel Oranger Republique is situated in a quiet street a few minutes from the Place d la République and the wonderful shopping opportunities of the Grands Boulevards. Its 39 guest rooms, including family rooms, were renovated in 2006 and offer soundproofed accommodation with en suite bathroom, satellite TV, WiFi internet access and tea and coffee making facilities. The reception desk is open 24 hours a day and guests can make use of the safe there. There is a relaxing lounge to chill out in and a patio garden to sit in when the weather is warm.
Its central location makes the Bel Oranger République a very convenient place to stay whilst in Paris. It is close to the Gare du Nord, the Eurostar terminus, and to many of the must see sights, such as the Louvre Museum, established in 1793 by the French Republic, and one of the earliest European museums housing one of the largest art collections in the world, including the Mona Lisa. It is divided into seven departments, incorporating works dating from the birth of the great antique civilizations right up to the first half of the 19th century. A short walk will take you to Notre Dame Cathedral on the Île de la Cité in the Seine River. You can admire the interior, climb the towers to see the gargoyles, and visit the museum and associated archaeological excavations in a crypt beneath the cathedral and the plaza in front of it.
