Hotel description
The Aviatic has been a family run hotel since 1856 in the 15ieme district of Paris. It was once the home of the Marquise de Maintenon who raised the children of Madame de Montespan and Louis XIV here, and in 1912 provided a place to stay for pioneering aviators, hence its name. Today the Aviatic provides 3 star accommodation for its guests in 43 classically decorated rooms which are all air conditioned and sound proofed. Some of the rooms overlook the tree lined courtyard. All rooms have en suite bathrooms with hairdryer, in room safe and mini bar. There is satellite TV and both high speed and WiFi internet access as well as a direct dial phone.
The Aviatic has a breakfast room and a lounge where you can relax with the day's papers, and an internet point so you can keep in touch with home or work. The reception desk and concierge are more than happy to arrange airport transfers an there are garages available if you have come by car. If you are out for the day or simply peckish, the staff at the Aviatic will provide snacks or picnics on request.
The area surrounding the Aviatic is full of sights which are within easy reach. The Jardin du Luxembourg is Paris' most popular park with plenty of activities for children. The nearby Jardin d'Atlantique is the best place in Paris to learn to rollerblade! A short walk will take you to the Eiffel Tower and even closer lies the Tour Montparnasse which has magnificent views from its 56th floor gallery.
