Hotel description
The Astoria Opera is a six storied hotel with 86 air conditioned rooms in the northern part of Paris close to Montmartre. The rooms all have en suite bathrooms, hair-dryer, in room safe and a mini bar. There is Wifi internet access, tea and coffee making facilities and TV with satellite channels. The Astoria Opera itself has a lovely, bright breakfast room with a glass ceiling and a spacious lounge for guests to relax with a complementary newspaper. Reception is available 24 hours a day and there is limited room service. Pets are welcome.
When you choose the Astoria Opera as your base you are starting from a very central point. From here you can easily reach most of the sights of Paris on foot and to get further afield you can use the Metro from Rome, Europe or St Lazare or the RER from Haussmann St Lazare or Auber. St Lazare mainline station is close by and the Eurostar terminal at Gare du Nord is only a few kilometres away. If you want to shop til you drop, march off to nearby Galeries Lafayette or Printemps and enjoy retail therapy French style with champagne bars and the largest beauty department in the world. The wonderful Byzantine basilica of Sacre Cœur is a short stroll away and from its dome you get panoramic views of up to 30 km on a clear day. A walk from the Astoria Opera in the other direction will bring you to the Louvre, where you can view some of the world's most famous works of art.
