Home to two of the large railway stations - Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord (Eurostar), the tenth arrondissemnt is a lively district comprising the busy Boulevard Magenta, and the up and coming area of Canal St Martin. The Canal has become popular with its trendy crowd and pedestrianised streets on the weekends offering a relaxed atsmosphere to stroll, enjoy the quirky cafés and browse the small boutiques. To the south, lies the bustling Place de la République with its popular restaurants, bars and cafés.
